This is Sana'a Fathi Quddoumi, loan A/C # 759 500 9027. I called your loan dept. about 10 days ago and was complaining about an outstanding amount of 250+ in my loan account which was settled last June 2012.
I have explained to your staff "Bilal Q" over the phone that I have received 4 to 5 calls from one of your colleagues and her name Humaira form Sharjah who asked me to go and settle this outstanding at the clearance department in Bur Dubai. I had to leave my office twice to catch up with the staff at the clearance dept. and then when I reached them I found out that they have nothing to do with that outstanding amount and they only issue a clearance letter once the outstanding is zero!!
I have tried for more than 15 times to call your Mahreq Bank toll free and the customer service dept. to raise a complaint against this outstanding amount since I have paid all my installments at the due dates and my last installment was paid last June. I couldn't reach anyone at the customer service dept but I spoke to Mr. Bilal and explained this issue and he has promised to find out and get back to me. I am still waiting for his reply for almost 2 weeks now! I am waiting since last Aug to clear this matter and close this account.
Please note that I am raising this complaint against any outstanding amount your bank calculated unfairly on my account and requesting you to escalate this complaint to your loan dept. and I am making it very clear that I am not supposed to pay any extra amount your bank calculate on daily basis since last June!! Please note that when I received the first call from Humaira in the last week of Aug she said the outstanding amount is Dh 250 and when I spoke to Mr., Bilal over the phone since almost 2 weeks he informed me that the outstanding went up to Dh 350! Kindly note that this is unacceptable and I am asking you and your bank to clear this amount and close my loan account with you since it was totally paid last June 2012.
I believe this is kind of cheating customers and your bank has no any right to calculate these charges. Instead of calling your customer after 3 months of the final settlement date (June 2012) and asking for unfairly charges, your bank should have closed the loan account since all payments have been made on time and there was no outstanding amount at that time!
Please consider this serious matter as high important and raise to your customer service department as soon as possible.
I will appreciate your cooperation in the above-mentioned issues and waiting for your reply.
